About
A dictation app that stays on your Mac.
Blurt is an offline dictation app for Apple Silicon Macs, built by Jahanzaib Akhter at Evolvera Technologies.
What Blurt is
Blurt is a dictation app for Apple Silicon Macs. You hold a key, speak, and it types into whatever app you are using. Speech recognition and AI cleanup run on the Mac, so the audio and the text never leave it, and there is no account to create.
It is a paid app: $3.99 a month, $29 a year or $99 once, after a 14-day trial with no card.
Who builds it
Blurt is built by Jahanzaib Akhter at Evolvera Technologies, a software company founded in 2023. The same person writes the app and the pages on this site.
How the app is built
One rule decides most things: your words stay on your Mac. That is why there is no cloud model, even as an option, and no sign-in. The features page lists what the app does not do as plainly as what it does.
How this site is written
Every comparison page says what the other app does better. Competitor prices are read off each vendor's own pricing page and dated, because they change. Claims about Blurt are checked against the app itself before they go on a page.
