The failures we see most, and what fixes each one.
Nothing is typed when I release the key
Almost always the Accessibility permission. Check that Blurt is listed and switched on, and that the app you are dictating into is not a secure input field — password fields refuse text from every app, not just this one.
The first word is missing
The trigger was tapped rather than held. In push-to-talk, hold the key for the whole sentence; if you would rather tap, switch to hands-free.
Transcription is slow
Max Accuracy is large by design. Switch to Accurate, or to Parakeet v3 if you are working in English or a European language and want speed over proper nouns.
It keeps mishearing one particular name
Add it to the vocabulary first. If it still misses, write a replacement rule for the exact form you keep seeing.
Still stuck
Email us with your macOS version, your Mac model and the Blurt version from Settings. We do not receive any diagnostics automatically, so the details in your message are all we have to work from.
