Blurt

Refunds

Thirty days, every plan, no questions asked. This page is the same policy as the refund section of the Terms, on its own so it is easy to find.

Last updated 4 September 2026

The policy

30 days, no questions asked, on Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime.

Email us from the address you used at checkout within 30 days of your purchase and we refund you in full. You do not have to tell us why.

How it works

  • Email us from the address you bought with. That is the whole process; there is no form.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
  • Purchases are processed by Polar as our merchant of record, so the refund shows up from Polar. Contact us rather than Polar and we will handle it.
  • When a refund is issued, the licence key is deactivated and Blurt returns to the free tier on that Mac, capped at 20 dictations a day. Nothing is deleted.

Renewals

Cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Renewal charges after the first 30 days are not refundable, so cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel from Account, then Manage subscription, inside the app, or from Polar's customer portal.

You do not have to buy to try it

The in-app trial runs for 14 days with no card and no account, and the app is not switched off when it ends — it falls back to 20 dictations a day. Trying it first is cheaper for both of us than a refund.

If you are in the EU or the UK

You have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days, which you may be asked to waive at checkout in exchange for immediate access. Our 30-day policy is longer and has fewer conditions attached, so whichever applies, you are covered by the more generous one.
