Shortcuts and dictation modes
Push to talk, hands-free, live and review. Each mode changes when Blurt listens and when the text lands.
Push to talk
Hold the trigger key, speak, release. This is the default and the one that collides with least. The trigger is Fn out of the box and can be changed in Settings.
Hands-free
Tap the trigger once to start and again to stop. Use it for anything longer than a sentence, so you are not holding a key for four minutes.
Live dictation
Text streams into the HUD as you speak rather than arriving in one block at the end. Tap to start and stop.
Review before inserting
Optional. Recording ends into an editable box; fix the text, then insert it or throw it away.
⌘↩ Insert esc Discard
Polish
Rewrites the last dictation with the local cleanup model: filler words out, punctuation fixed, long ramble broken into paragraphs.
