Meeting mode
Meeting transcripts that never leave your Mac.
No notetaker joins the call, and no audio goes to a server to be transcribed. Blurt listens to your microphone and the call's system audio and writes the transcript on the Mac.

Blurt's meeting mode transcribes calls offline on an Apple Silicon Mac. It records your microphone and the call's system audio, transcribes both on the device, and labels them You and Others. No bot joins the meeting and nothing is uploaded. Meeting mode is included in every Blurt plan: $3.99 a month, $29 a year or $99 once.
How it works
No bot in the participant list
Blurt captures audio from your own Mac, so it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack huddles or a phone call played through the speakers. Nobody sees a guest called Notetaker and nobody has to admit one.
No cloud step at all
Both streams are transcribed by the same on-device engine you dictate with. Some meeting tools that also skip the bot still send the audio to a cloud provider to be processed. Blurt has no cloud path to send it to.
You and Others
Your microphone is labelled You and the call audio is labelled Others, with timestamps so the two interleave in order. The labels come from the audio source, so everyone on the far side of the call shares the one label.
Saved as it goes
Segments are written to your Mac as they are transcribed, so a crash keeps what was already done. When the meeting stops, the transcript is also saved as a Markdown file in the folder you choose, and it appears in History, where it is searchable and editable.
One permission, once
Capturing call audio needs the macOS Screen & System Audio Recording permission. Grant it when Blurt asks, or under System Settings → Privacy & Security.
What it does not do
There are no AI summaries, action items or per-person speaker names. You get an accurate, timestamped transcript and nothing more. If you want automatic meeting notes and are fine with cloud processing, Voibe Work and Wispr Flow's notetaker offer them.

FAQ
Can I transcribe a meeting offline on a Mac?
Yes. Blurt's meeting mode records your microphone and the call's system audio and transcribes both on an Apple Silicon Mac. After the one-off model download no connection is needed, and no audio or text is uploaded.
Does it work with Zoom, Google Meet and Teams?
Yes. Blurt captures the Mac's system audio rather than joining the call, so it works with any app that plays the other side through your Mac.
Does Blurt write meeting summaries?
No. Blurt's meeting mode produces a timestamped transcript labelled You and Others. There is no AI summary or action-item list.
Do I need consent to record a call?
It depends on where you and the other people are. Recording others may require their consent. Blurt never sees your audio, so it cannot check this for you.
